What does 212 (two-one-two) mean and stand for? Jesus Christ received many wounds before and at the cross. He was beaten, whipped, spit on and ridiculed. When Jesus Christ was nailed on a stake, the soldiers put a nail in each wrist and a nail through his feet.As Christ hung on this tree he soon took his last breath. When the soldiers came to him to make sure that He was dead they put a spear in his side and blood and water spilled out.Christ soon was raised back to life by His Father and to this day has these wounds from His crucifixion. There is a hole in each wrist, a hole in both feet and a hole in his side.A branding that we should remember. Here are some references from the Bible.
“Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands.Reach out your hand and put it into my side.Stop doubting and believe.” -John 20:27

As a paintball program we see 212 Paintball as a way to say “Christ-Centered Paintball.”Our main purpose and passion is to see young people in our range of impact be reached with the gospel of Christ. In Isaiah 53:5, Isaiah prophesied, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him and by his wounds we are healed.”In some translations the word fellowship is used in place of healed.“by his wounds we are in fellowship with him.”In all of our programs and relationships with young people we want Christ to be the center of it.We desire to see all young people to enter into a personal relationship with their Savior. In paintball we receive many bruises from paintballs and through this sport we have friends and relationships with others.Christ offers the truest of all relationships to us through his bruises and sacrifice in battle. What will you do with Christ’s battle scars and wounds? Are you in need of a true relationship with a true friend? It is our desire to build relationships with young people in the community through the sport of paintball in order that we will see them enter into and build upon their relationship with Jesus Christ. And it so happens we receive some bruises along the way.
